It’s October 4th! That means Silver Queen is a year older! Some folks got together and made a collection on AO3 for SQ’s birthday, and it’s full of works you can look at right now.
Happy birthday, Silver Queen! Thank you for your wonderful fic of monstrous length. Our vague theme was focusing on ways Shikako has improved people’s lives.
The collection is open and unmoderated, so anyone who wants to add a belated gift to the collection should feel free to do so.

So, remember those posts in which I tried to fit Silver Queen’s lyrics to music and could only convey the idea via my own mediocre singing voice? Well, now I have mediocre sheet music creation instead!
I was very repetitive with the melody, so same as the “Epic Version” this is literally every stanza of the song ad nauseum. The two different instruments are the same–I just wanted the sound of both playing in the mp3.
This was pretty good practice! 😀 I hope you all enjoyed it, at least a little.

Oh! Hello! Wow, usually it’s the other way around–people know Shikako Nara and then find me and my recursive fic–so this is cool! I’m pretty pleased that those recursive ficlets are compelling enough to read through even without knowing who Shikako is, so thank you!
Shikako Nara is the main character of Silver Queen’s “Dreaming of Sunshine,” an SI!OC Naruto fic in which the author is Shikamaru Nara’s twin sister. You can read it on FF.net here–or if you’re more the podfic type, you can listen to it here on MixCloud. I also help run the tumblr page for it, @dosbysilverqueen, which includes a multitude of resources for fans.

Starting December 10th, 2017, I will no longer be on the Unlimited Plan for SoundCloud which means I can only have 3 hours of content up there. Not sure of the exact details (whether or not my current content will just be inaccessible or if they’ll be deleted) but I’ve moved over to MixCloud. MixCloud doesn’t have downloading but the chapters can be downloaded from Mediafire instead–I’ll see if I can put the corresponding links directly onto the MixCloud pages.
Until the Unlimited Plan runs out, I will be uploading chapters to both SoundCloud and MixCloud. After that, it will be solely on MixCloud (and Mediafire)

(I kind of regret doing sound effects for the Yakumo chapters, because if I hadn’t then the only sound effects would be for Gelel, Jashin, and Shikako which would be ~gods only~)
I thought it fit quite well with the shadows and deer aspects of the Nara clan in general, which is why I submitted the post.
I don’t think it would have to be specifically a Shikasuke child, but I can see how it would add to the nightmare fuel that is Sakako “you better pray not to encounter her in the woods alone” Uchiha.
Is that moving shadow an actual shadow, a branch blown by the wind, or a scary-ass deer? Who knows?
