I was considering Aegislash for TenTen, but considering theyâre specifically ghost swords and TenTen is more of a ranged weaponry (or, alternatively, giant spiky ball of death) I decided not to go in that direction. If I were to make a Pokemon team for Hayate Gekkou, then yes, ghost swords all the wayâhe is a kenjutsu user, after all.
I think my reasoning for Neji = Hitmontop had to do with the Kaiten? And how a lot of the Hyuuga taijutsu were very circular in nature.

And I do have a bit about TenTen working at a blacksmith in Externality (I get what you mean, anon, Boruto canon is kindaâŚ) so I suppose I could have easily given her a Fire type too. Hm⌠I think mostly I wanted to lean in on that Steel typeâŚ
(2/6) and i liked that option where they come back to interfere with the kyuubi attack. so they show up and sakura sees to kushina, who is not doing that great but will live through the night. meanwhile sai helps to harry tobi, which can either go the way of him still escaping or the Surprise Extras provide enough of a momentary distraction that minato gets enough of an upper hand to knock him out. (and seal his chakra, beacuse it would be foolish not to)
(3/6) i was thinking that maybe the future they came from didnât get as far as the four war stuff. what actaully happpened was that danzo took over somehow and things got really really bad really fast. so what happens is that in the first few years sakura and sai help to thoroughly deal with everything danzo realated. meanwhile tiny!shikako calms down from her panic about being in naruto because it obviously not naruto-naruto since the fourth is still around.
(4/6) and then once the uprooting has been preety much finished (as much as they can, the rest will take time) sai indulging in a bit of sentimentality (which is encouraged for him now, theyâre working on it) and when he comes across the nara in, idk the market, he hangs around and talks to, air? sakura?, saying things that are perfect innocuous and have absolutly no secret meaning whatsoever no sire(about how they took down danzo and things are better now, or they will be, or theyll never get
(5/6) the chance to be bad) and tiny!shikako cant stop herself from turning around and staring right at him, wide eyed.
(6/6) then maybe some stuff happens, shikako has people who safe to tell all the things /she/ knows to and they work on doing what they can to fix that stuff. and shikako gets to grow up without this huge terrifying pressure on her. theyâre still shinobi, bad things still happen (like gelel, because this needs to be a constant- maybe nobody could find it until they had a shikako guide towards the music?) but the big bads have either been (mostly) dealt with or are works in progress (akatsuki -nagato-)
Yeah, I think I prefer it being a linear time travel instead of a diagonal time and dimension travel because then there wouldnât really be any point for them to go back in time and make changes (it would just be them running away). It does seem weird for them to end up in a world without Shikakoâbecause then at that point it would be like⌠why is (non)existence of the Jounin Commanderâs daughter so important? If everything else is the same then why not this?
I donât think Sai and Sakura would be so careless as to talk about the uprooting of Danzo out in the openâor, rather, their role in it given I doubt the uprooting of Danzo could be so completely hiddenâespecially if thereâs the possibility that Danzo has contingencies in place to avenge himself, but I do think a tiny!Shikako would make the obvious connection of older!Sai and older!Sakura existing and the changes in her knowledge.
She would have to be the one to approach them because as far as they know, sheâs perfectly normal Shikako and not Shikako-who-knows-a-version-of-the-future (which is normal Shikako). Although I think, given how cautious she is in the earlier chapters of canon DoS, she wouldnât do so just yet.
I think after the Danzo Uprooting, Sai and Sakura would be on a destroy oppression kick and would be after the Hyuuga clan nextâor, at least, stopping the Cloud kidnapping Hinata thing so that Hiashi and Hizashi can deal with their issues and get on that themselvesâwhich is maybe when Shikako first learns about the existence of older!Sai and older!Sakura tangentially through her father but sheâs not entirely sure yet.
(older!Sakura, being a loyal Team Anko member, does work on helping out her teammates much sooner as well, while Sai gets to be the proud guardian of two dozen would-have-been-ROOT-agents including his âbrotherâ Shin)
She definitely does not make contact until after Academy, though. Whether thatâs because A) thereâs a sudden increase in new students because the would-have-been-ROOT-agents have been added to the school as a new class and one of them is tiny!Sai who Shikako knows DEFINITELY wasnât here before in her memories or B) the Uchiha massacre never happens because not only has the uprooting already happened but also Kushina and Mikoto have always been best friends and itâs hard to alienate an entire clan for the murder of the Yondaime Hokage and his wife if both of them are still alive and also close friends with that clan.
What Iâm saying is, Shikako probably doesnât approach them until maybe RIGHT before she needs their help (and maybe even then, not really) so itâs a lot of older!Sai and older!Sakura trying to chase her down and help her, damn it, weâre the adults, youâre the child, weâre supposed to help you. Stop running towards that obviously dangerous situation, small child, why do you have exploding tags?!
I quite like the idea of Sai becoming an Academy teacher (theyâll need another one, after all, with the influx of would-have-been-ROOT-agents students) and then Sakura becoming a jounin senseiâbut not for her younger!self because sheâs already made it so that Team Anko is a thing from the beginningâbut maybe for younger!Sai and⌠uh⌠other people. Ami would be a perfect match, I thinkâor, at least, my headcanon version of Ami.

Land of Fire just thematically makes more sense if itâs because thereâs an abundance of Fire types. I mean, Iâm definitely not going by the traditional generations, so I might as well have some sort of organization. Which isnât to say that other types canât be found in different countries (especially near villages which deliberately cultivate different types) but naturally the types correspond.
Hereâs the thing about the Growlithe and Arcanine, though, is that Iâm still not entirely sure how to resolve the issue of Inuzukaâs ninken? Like. I already gave Kakashi the all dog team, and having all of an Inuzukaâs team be dogs kind of reduces the strong bond they have with their ninken equivalent. But I also donât want the Inuzuka to only have ONE Pokemon (except for Hana, who would have three).
Hm⌠I donât think Iâd restrict the Inuzukaâs ninken to a specific species, so maybe some of them do have Growlithe/Arcanine?
But I digressâyour question was about whether or not the Uchiha (and specifically, the Uchiha in the KMP) would also have Growithe/Arcanine. And I think yes, but it would be a âlesser Uchihaâ kind of thing because they are so common. The Talonflame flocks are specifically bredâtheyâve got pedigrees and suchâto have a Growlith would be kind of like adopting a mutt. (Which, I mean, is MY dream to do, but beneath a Noble Clan).
So as the sons of the clan head, neither Itachi or Sasuke would have had a Growlithe, but some of the other Uchiha would have. Like Shisui, probably, given Arcanine are known for their high speeds (and majestic manes) and maaaybe Obitoâthough I do prefer the idea of him with a Cyndaquil, instead.
I have a feeling that Uchiha who did join the KMP probably all had a Salamence or a Haxorusâas a unifying species amongst the police officers, but also because it kind of contributes to how frightening and alienating the Uchiha became to the rest of the village. Like, these massive armored dragons? O_O
The future KMP would probably benefit from having Growlithes and Arcanines instead.

Gravity Falls is an amazing show, definitely, but I kind of wonder if maybe itâs too amazingâis such a thing makes sense. Like itâs very comprehensively satisfyingâthereâs not many loose ends or critical points that I want to change. Kind of like Leverage (which I adore) itâs a perfectly compact blend of world-building and characters that Iâm not sure what, if anything, I could do with it. As much as I love Leverage I hardly ever read any fic for it because the show is so much more satisfying.
At most, maaaybe future fic, but even then itâs kind of⌠or maybe past fic about either one of the Grunklesâ adventures? HmâŚ
Having considered it, I suppose my question to you would be if youâd want GF universe fic or GF character fic which are very different things indeed.
I mean, canonically, Ford DID travel through endless dimensionsâthough the âmain worldâ is itself already absolutely fascinating and with a multitude of (im)possibilities, and surely Gravity Falls canât be the ONLY hot spot of bizarre supernatural activity.
Then again, a huge part of what makes the show so great is the characters and the idea of this familyâboth blood and foundâof misfits loving and supporting each other while also still having conflicts is something that can easily crossover to any AU.
Which is a fairly popular idea given the number of AUs floating aroundâwith fantastic artwork attached!âI think my favorite is the Fullmetal Alchemist crossover/fusion by @mistrel-fox

That being said, for the ANY alliance version, that breakdown does seem right. The Yamanaka are all abrout dragging the truth out of people, and while beautiful itâs dangerous to look at light directly.
For Team Seven, Iâm not entirely sure which is which for tree and light between Naruto and Sasuke.
(I think I vaguely remember that HP fic, too, but Iâve read so many I have no idea which one that might be… :P)
Yeah, they canât be hive mind otherwise thatâd be no fun. I quite like the idea that even though the twins both âhearâ the same thing, they react differently. So Tsume telling Shikako that Kiba would make a good boyfriend would cause confusion in ever-oblivious Shikako, whereas Shikamaru would hold a heretofore unseen grudge against Kiba for a while.
I suppose for the short term âfind the ferretâ mission, both twins being sent would make senseâthey can cover a larger area faster and with instantaneous communicationâand would be a good first command mission for new chuunin!Shikamaru and Naruto (although, given the bond, would that have pushed Shikakoâs almost promotion due to strategizing into an actual promotion?) So that covers the Gelel arc.
But I donât see why they would both be assigned to the longer-term semi-diplomatic mission to Land of Moon⌠Or, rather, that they would both be assigned, but only one of them would physically go while the other stays behind to act as Intel handler.

The Eeveelutions also have a place in my heart (there was once I time I was considering doing a series of embroideries for them before⌠well⌠embroidery is very time intensive and Iâm still not yet done with my second project) and IRL I would probably be a crazy cat lady but with Eeveelutions if it were possible, but alasâŚ
Seeing as how there isnât a Rock-type Eeveelution (yetâŚ) I agree that Leafeon would be the most suited for Shikako or maybe just the Nara clan in general? What with the colour scheme and the medical expertise and forests and such. Frankly the only person who is better suited to Leafeon would probably be Tenzo/YamatoâŚ
But while I agree that Leafeon is the best suited Eeveelution for Shikako, I donât think Shikako would have an Eeveelution in my particular PokemonxDoSÂ âverse. Â Iâm fairly satisfied with my choices for her team.
Although, now that I consider it some more, you want to know what would be hella cute? Shikaku having a Leafeon. Like. This battle experienced yet still adorable leaf fox/cat thing just following the twins around while theyâre children. Itâs there when they first learn to walk (âlittle cat footâ anyone?), lazes about in the sun beside them while they nap, an ever present guardian until theyâre strong and old enough to be on their own (or, at least, until they have Pokemon of their own).
Ino-Shika-Cho Dad Edition all having Eeveelutions would be the CUTEST thing, I think: Leafeon for Shikaku, Espeon for Inoichi, and Iâm thinking either classic Eevee or Sylveon for Chouza. I mean, I donât know who their jounin sensei was, but I feel like whoever they were gave each of them and Eevee after their graduation so their respective Eeveelutions have been with them for a long time.

Although, that would bring up the question (in universe) about how different DoS is from canon. SQ has already stated certain things from canon are not the same (specifically the matter of Obito) and probably other things before Yoshinoâs pregnancy that would trickle down bizarrely.
