Is it to much to ask for a shikako/sasuke prompt? I understand if your busy. But i love your writing prompts for dos! :D

Some of my most fascinating fic is from responses to prompts–even if they don’t always actually match the prompters request, they almost always spawn off very interesting stories–and DoS is no exception.

So it may take me a while, but I will try my best to fill this for you, anon. (And I’ve been meaning to try my hand at some Shikako/Sasuke fic. Shikasuke? I dunno, I just super enjoy their dynamic and how it’s super conflicted and I interpret it as constantly teetering between platonic and romantic).

Thanks, anon 🙂 I’m glad you enjoy my little snippets of recursive fic.

As for the prompt… I’m just like O_O because my brain automatically goes–what happened to Naruto!? Because no way Shikako would accept the Hokage’s hat unless something has gone very wrong with the canon line of succession. I mean if she’s the one to forcibly take it from Danzo that’s one thing… I… hm… maybe?

It’s a loaded prompt, for all that it’s short, anon. This may take me a while to unpack and figure out. But it is a very interesting idea so… we’ll see what happens 🙂

Hi anon, thanks for the prompt. I’m gonna be honest it took me a while to remember who Toki was. I was just… Toki? Who is Toki? … But thankfully with SQ having retconned all of the titles with story arcs I was able to figure out she’s from Land of Birds arc. So all good.

Um, I probably won’t get to this for a while? But I am going to be doing the podfic for Haunted Castle arc soon and Land of Birds arc is after that. So once I do those chapters it should be pretty fresh in my mind and we’ll see what shakes out.

Are you still taking prompts? If so: Shikako Gaara, from Team 7’s point of view? Thanks!

I’m always taking prompts and I always try to respond/fill them in some way–whether by fic or brainstorming. Even if I’m not very quick on the turn around, I’m always glad to get prompts.

Well, walker2702, I’m sorry to say that Ain’t No Rest is on a hiatus, but I do greatly appreciate this prompt. So here’s a different AU–hope you enjoy reading it, because it was certainly a lot of fun to write!

[I know the drabble doesn’t have the prompt in it though it is largely influential in the development and feel. Hopefully this means I will write a part two that does have that cool exchange in it]

Yo so could I get some political Shikako/Gaara perspectives from people on the outside? Like competing factions in the Wind Daimyo’s court bickering over the implications or foreign countries debating the impacts it’ll have on the economy etc. I’m also totally up for the ninja equivalent of trashy tabloid coverage.

Oooooh! I love thinking about political ramifications and the public interpretations of things within fanfic–the idea that there are such far reaching repercussions of a character’s actions, to the point where people who haven’t even met them have not only an opinion, but a stake in it…

I think hearing people’s voices is really cool, but I haven’t found a voice meme I’m happy with, so I wanted to make my own! 

Here’s how the game is played: If you want to hear me do any of these, just send me the number(s) you want to hear and I’ll make an audio post! Include whatever specifics you’d like to hear me do in the ask – these are more guidelines than actual rules. Basically, it’s just like any other ask meme, only I speak the answers instead of typing them out!

I absolutely enjoy your DOS snippets! Here’s a prompt for you, you wonderful creature: Shikako, after a long and brutal battle, can’t absorb her detached shadow self into herself again for some reason, and Gaara is the only one who succeeds in putting her back together. Happy writing!

Yay! 🙂 Dreaming of Sunshine is a fun sandbox to play with, but it’s still nice to hear that other people like what I come up with.

Ooh, okay… hm… this one’s a little trickier, so the turnaround time won’t be anywhere as quick as the anon prompt response. But this is an excellent Dreaming of S(omething) drabble idea, thanks for sending it my way!

Me and my friend were debating this and I decided that you were one of the really good writers for drabbles for DOS. So here’s this prompt: Shikako starts dating, and Team 7 (Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi), Shikamaru, and Shikaku make it their life mission to stop it. (Bonus if one of the guys vying for her attention is Gaara and another is Kiba because his mom said so and Shikako is pretty so why not?)
